OUR STORY

RAMEETHICALWEAR_ABout

RAMÉ as independent brand

This brand was born after half a year of sabbatical experience across the exotic southeast Asia, where simple live, majestic nature and live now as the life motto, brought a new way to see the whole living experience. Less is more and we have to take care of each other and our only home, the mother earth. These magic elements mixed together have been the bases for RAMÉ Ethical Wear. Where the founder, a Spanish professional from the communication sector, has bet to take part where fashion and sustainability could meet in harmony.

Ethical wear, between Bali and Barcelona

RAMÉ repel mass market. Our business model is based in launching collections with limited stock following our philosophy of fair trade commerce. Each garment has a soul and story behind that we, along with the consumer, will live together. For this reason, each collection is created so that it could withstand the ever changing season and fashion trends because of its simple but timeless design and quality.

Fair trade commitment

Ethics in our production and consumption is one of the priorities in our business strategy. At Rame we carefully select our local manufacturers in Bali, Indonesia.

Ethical production means that we do not partnership with any random manufacture. We take ethics really serious, specially in this process. We carefully choose those who provides high quality standards for all their employees by providing a safe and healthy working environment. In this way, we help reducing poverty, creating sustainable communities and minimizing the environmental impact during the production process.

#whomademyclothes

It is a global movement calling for greater transparency, sustainability and ethics in the fashion industry. This fashion revolution wants to unite everyone to radically change the way our clothes are sourced, produced and purchased. The objective is to wear clothes that were made in a clean, safe and fair way. They invite brands to show their supply chain to their consumers stimulating transparency in the fashion industry.

Like us, we invite every consumer to use our voice, because it does make a difference. We need to make this revolution bigger and bolder than ever before. Do not forget to ask brands #WhoMadeMyClothes?

Environmental commitment

It is not a secret that Bali has a problem with rubbish. Unfortunately, Indonesia is currently the second-largest plastic polluter in the world, just a few metric tonnes behind China. They produce about 130,000 tons of plastic and solid waste every day with only half of that reaching landfill sites, according to the Bali-based Rivers, Oceans, Lakes and Ecology (ROLE) Foundation.

This environment disaster is becoming a daily battle for the marine species and very often shows sea life struggling to survive in polluted seas and leaves devastating images.

R.O.L.E Foundation

Like what we did last season, we continue to be a part of the movement against this global problem by supporting the remarkable work of the R.O.L.E Foundation and Bali WISE. Therefore, each time you purchase our items, 5% of the profit will be donated to them.

These organizations protect the environment and empower marginalized women, as a means to develop sustainable communities in Indonesia.

Please enjoy our collections!
